If you've tried losing weight and haven't had much success despite dedicating time and money to the problem, you're probably skeptical about trusting a weight loss clinic like Cryo & Contour. If you're looking for a partner to help you achieve healthy weight loss in Nolensville, TN, Cryo & Contour is the weight loss clinic for you. Unlike other medical weight loss programs, ours was founded upon the power of science with the caring and personalized support of our medical weight loss team.
This initial phase of your weight loss journey starts with blood pressure and weight checks, EKG monitoring for every 50 lbs. lost, lab tests conducted monthly, ongoing nutrition education, weekly nurse visits, and monthly physician visits.
This intermediate phase starts when you have achieved your target weight. At this point, we introduce more foods from the grocery store that you can eat. By the end of this phase, all meal replacements are eliminated from your diet and replaced with other foods.
This phase is crucial and meant to help you keep all that weight off that you have worked so hard to lose. We incorporate S.T.A.R. steps to accomplish this goal, which is a 24-week program designed to help you maintain your new healthy weight.
One of the most common questions we get at our medical weight loss office is who our program benefits most. That's not the easiest question to answer since every person's body and weight loss goals will be different from the next person's. However, we have found that professional, supervised medical weight loss can be hugely beneficial for a range of different people, including:
Shedding some pounds can lead to an overall improvement in health, a lower likelihood of developing chronic diseases, and an increase in energy levels for individuals struggling with weight issues.
Losing extra pounds can have a positive impact on one's well-being and alleviate the effects of conditions such as type II diabetes, high blood pressure, and sleep apnea.
Losing weight can reduce the pressure on joints, which can help reduce pain and improve mobility for people with a limited range of motion or joint pain due to being overweight.
Now that you know a little bit more about our weight loss program and its underlying principles, let's take a closer look at some of the key tools that our physicians use to expedite healthy, long-lasting weight loss.
If you're looking for a way to potentially lose weight, improve muscle recovery, overcome mood and sleep disorders, promote injury healing, and solve joint pain, cryotherapy could be a great addition to your weight loss plan. During each cryotherapy session, you'll step into a chamber and experience extreme cold for just three minutes. Some people have reported burning up to 800 calories during a session. Keep in mind that cryotherapy doesn't cure any specific illnesses, but it might be helpful for those who suffer from conditions like fibromyalgia, lupus, arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis.
Excellent Supplement to Your Weight Loss Plan with Cryo & Contour
Relief from Pain, Swelling, Inflammation, and Muscle Spasticity
Helps Boost Adrenaline, cortisol, and Dopamine to Fight Pain, Hunger, and Fatigue
Jumpstarts Your Metabolism and Immune System Response to Illness
Are you curious about what happens during a typical cryotherapy session from Cryo & Contour? It starts with the first of three phases, which take place during a three-minute exposure to temperatures below zero.
When the body is exposed to cold temperatures, it undergoes a series of physiological changes to help maintain its core temperature. One of these changes is the constriction of blood vessels on the skin's surface and muscles, which forces blood away from the peripheral tissues towards the core. Once in the core, the blood can be filtered through the body's natural filtration system, which works to remove toxins and inflammatory components from the blood.
This process not only helps to keep the body warm but also helps to keep it healthy by eliminating harmful substances that can cause damage to cells and tissues. Additionally, the constriction of blood vessels can help to reduce swelling and inflammation in the peripheral tissues, which can be especially beneficial for those with conditions such as arthritis or joint pain.
After leaving the chamber, blood circulates to the body's outer tissues, which are now supplied with oxygen and nutrients. This circulation naturally warms the muscles and skin, allowing for increased flexibility and range of motion.
Within a period of 2 days, individuals experience a significant improvement in their physical condition. They have reported enhanced quality of sleep, heightened levels of energy, and faster recovery periods after injuries or exercising.
Looking for a cutting-edge way to enhance your physique? It might be time for you to consider Emsculpt, a body sculpting treatment that uses electromagnetic pulses to build muscle and burn fat. By stimulating muscle contractions, this innovative procedure can help your body generate new muscle fibers and proteins while reducing unwanted fat cells.
The short answer to this question is yes, it absolutely is safe. In fact, this procedure is a non-invasive, FDA-approved body sculpting treatment that uses the power of electromagnetism to tighten muscles and burn fat in areas where pockets of body fat typically collect, like the belly and the thighs.
Request AppointmentFor those who are struggling with stubborn pockets of fat that won't budge even with diet and exercise, Emsculpt offers a permanent solution. This treatment is most effective for individuals who are close to their target weight and looking for a way to destroy targeted fat cells. The muscle mass created by Emsculpt can last for at least six months or more, provided that patients continue to engage in strength and conditioning exercises to build muscle.
Request AppointmentEmsculpt treatments can provide an incredible workout for muscles that would be difficult to achieve through traditional gym exercises. Within just 30 minutes, the treatment can generate an impressive 20,000 muscular contractions. For instance, if the treatment targets the abdominal muscles, it can be compared to performing 20,000 crunches in half an hour.
Emsculpt not only strengthens muscle fibers but also releases epinephrine, a naturally occurring chemical in the body that prompts nearby fat cells to break down. This is a significant development because fat cells are notoriously difficult to eliminate. Contact Cryo & Contour today to learn more about Emsculpt and whether this revolutionary weight loss tool is appropriate for you and your body.
Request AppointmentThe Verju laser system is a remarkable innovation in the field of non-invasive treatments. In fact, it's the only FDA-approved green laser that is both safe and effective in fat loss and the reduction of cellulite. One of the key advantages of this laser is that its low-level frequency ensures that there is no possibility of injury. Moreover, unlike liposuction or other hands-on treatments, there are no devices that push up against your skin during the procedure. Patients simply lay underneath the Verju lights and let the machine do the rest.
Individuals looking to lose weight with a medical weight loss program often benefit most from treatments like Verju. Why? Because Verju is very effective at eliminating stubborn fat from problematic areas such as your thighs, arms, and waist.
At the treatment sites, subcutaneous fat cells tend to collapse, leading to a thinner body shape for stubborn areas like hips, thighs, and lower abdomen. Based on the research, the average client can lose up to 4 inches over the hips and waist within just two weeks, and the results can be maintained for more than five months. Verju is a unique contouring system that does not damage the fat cells, thereby creating a more natural biological response for losing inches.
Unlike other branded treatments, Verju's green diode system increases the collagen concentration in the dermal layer and remodels collagen within the fibrotic septae. This puts Verju ahead of others when it comes to circumferential and cellulite reduction. Moreover, other modalities have been shown to permanently damage fat cells, leading to asymmetric weight regain in the shoulders, knees, and other unwanted areas.
This treatment is becoming increasingly popular for healthy medical weight loss because it allows you to relax and decompress while it works. Each treatment, which takes about 15 minutes to complete, provides you with a slight warming sensation that is soothing and gentle. This treatment not only feels great, but it's also incredibly convenient and doesn't require any recovery time.
FlexSure technology is a safe and effective treatment for all skin types, with no restrictions based on your body mass index (BMI). It offers multiple applicator sizes, which ensures that the treatment is tailored to your body shape and size for optimal results. Unlike other treatments, FlexSure does not cut or damage the skin, which eliminates concerns about scarring or infection. Additionally, it is a great option for those with darker skin tones, as it does not pose a risk of discoloration or burns.
If you are self-conscious about areas of skin laxity or have problem fat zones that you would like to tone and slim, FlexSure may be the right choice for you. At Cryo & Contour, our knowledgeable and caring medical staff is here to help you achieve your body-reshaping goals, so don't hesitate to reach out to us for more info on FlexSure and our medical weight loss plans.
FlexSure is a highly effective radio-frequency body treatment that's designed to deliver deep and even tissue heating. The peel-and-stick applicator is strategically curved and contoured to comfortably adapt to your body shape, making it easier to target those hard-to-treat areas. Some of the most common areas that our patients treat include:
Our medical weight loss program benefits greatly from FlexSure's use of monopolar technology, which can reach deep into the skin layers and underlying subcutaneous fat. When the temperature reaches over 42 degrees, the fat cells undergo apoptosis or cell death. The lymphatic system will then naturally clear away the debris left by the destroyed fat cells.
Since patients receive the dual benefit of fat reduction as well as skin tightening, FlexSure is often seen as a fantastic total body contouring, slimming, and toning system.

NOLENSVILLE – The simple-life aura of the Amish collides with a dash of Hollywood entertainment vitality at the Nolensville Feed Mill Amish Market.
The building housing the market – and Nolensville itself – were almost blink-and-you’ll-miss-it spots on U.S. 41A until just a few years ago. Nolensville began its growth spurt a couple of decades ago, and the feed mill morphed into something new in 2005 when California native Darin Scheff bought the business.
This unlikely cultural fusion has produced a thriving food business, a place of community connection, a shopping destination and a self-made character who isn’t shy about making friends.
Scheff is now frequently hailed as “the Feed Mill Guy.” You see his face on t-shirts, on private label hot sauce, on pricey ceramic mugs and behind the cash register in the establishment Scheff said has the oldest non-farm business license in Williamson County.
Although Scheff is easy to pick out of a crowd – six feet tall, a shock of white hair, a huge smile, Buddy Holly-style black-framed eyeglasses – you’re likely to hear him first. He’s a talker, and he is far more animated than any Walmart greeter ever was.
“How ya doing? Ready for a sandwich? You’re carrying too much, so let me get you a basket. You need some bread pudding to take home,” he said in rapid succession to a parade of customers, many of whom he already knew. Those he didn’t know, he’s likely to remember.
Scheff said the business opened as a flour mill in the late 1800s and evolved into a farmer-oriented feed and supply store. Scheff entered the picture after a friend invited him to visit Tennessee. At the time, he was successfully busy as a hairstylist, makeup artist and occasional songwriter in California, working on television shows, movies and music videos.
He bought the Nolensville Feed Mill in 2005 (“mainly for the real estate”), not knowing anything about rural life in Tennessee or anyone in Nolensville, then a tight-knit community of only about 1,400 people, he said. Today, the population approaches 20,000.
Scheff said he soon realized more than real estate was involved.
“The feed mill is Nolensville’s monument. I love the legacy of the building. There’s a lot of responsibility attached to owning this place,” he said.
As Williamson County land use shifted from agriculture to suburban development, the feed business waned. Scheff began renting space to antique dealers and reached a crossroads during the 2008-2009 recession when no one was buying antiques and no one was coming through the doors.
Scheff described an almost desperate move of clearing out the antique dealers and buying a load of Amish jellies and pickles a couple of months before Christmas. He sold it all and placed a second order – and then a third.
He figured the action would die down after the holidays, but his vendor assured him he was onto something.
“Once the people here realized I wasn’t going to bulldoze the place and put in a Hardee’s, they really accepted me,” he said, surveying a store whose shelves bulge with Amish pickles and jellies, Amish bread from local bakers, honey, seasonal gift items, candy, snacks and some fresh produce in season. Refrigerated cases hold cheeses and other perishables.
A sandwich counter with several interesting choices occupies one corner. The “Burnin’ Britches” is turkey with habanero-jalapeno cheddar cheese, candied jalapenos and barbecue sauce. “The Buggy Wheel” is turkey, baby Swiss cheese and strawberry-jalapeno jam.
The sandwich king, however, is chicken salad, made with either cranberries and pecans or grapes and pecans.
Scheff said he and his team, including his son, Willie, make 500 to 600 pounds of chicken salad every week. They also crank out pimento cheese, potato salad, macaroni salad and tuna salad, as well as a deep-dish chicken pot pie sold frozen. The mill’s caramel-coated bread pudding delivers a sugar rush best taken in small servings.
You can enjoy your sandwiches at three long tables in the back of the store (conversation with strangers comes naturally), or you can head outside to picnic tables along the edge of Mill Creek.
Sheff said his career in Hollywood production was so good that “it was like going to the moon,” but he was ready for a change.
It’s clear that he loves his life and work on terra firma in Nolensville.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — The little league team from Nolensville is headed to the Little League World Series.
The team beat their rivals from Lake Mary, Florida, 4 runs to 1.
It marks the first time that a team has gone to the Little League World Series three years in a row.
But a weather delay kept the game from starting on time as severe thunderstorms rolled through the Warner Robins area in Georgia, where the Southeast Regional Final was being held.
More than four hours after the game was scheduled to begin, it finally started.
It’s been a long road for the Nolensville team to get here.
After winning its first game in the tournament on Thursday, the team lost against Georgia on Saturday, placing them into the elimination bracket.
But the team had won every game since, defeating South Carolina, Virginia and Georgia in a rematch Monday.
That win led the team to Tuesday night, with a berth to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, on the line.
The team was powered in part by pitcher Stella Weaver, who goes to Legacy Middle School — the first time in Nolensville history that a girl has been a part of the team.

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — For the second day in a row, it was win or go home for Southeast Region champion Nolensville at the 2023 Little League World Series.
For the second day in a row, Lucas McCauley showed his mettle by hitting the team's first home run of the tournament, a two-run blast in the top of the fourth inning.
Still, Nolensville will head back to middle Tennessee on a long bus ride after its 5-3 loss Wednesday to West Region champ California, one game short of the United States semifinal at Howard J. Lamade Stadium.
It was the sixth time this postseason the team played an elimination game.
California took a quick 1-0 lead in the first and added two runs in the third before McCauley sent the ball flying high over the right-field wall to trim Nolensville's deficit to one. Nash Carter, who led off the inning with a walk, also scored on the home run.
In the second inning Stella Weaver, the only girl playing in the 2023 Series, tied the overall record for most hits by a girl with her fourth, a sharp single into right field.
After Ty McKenzie II made his second highlight-reel play to end a threat in the fourth, Nolensville knocked on the door with its bats in the fifth. Gideon Shepler singled to left with one out. Corbin Cyphers followed with a double to right, leaving the kids from middle Tennessee just 60 feet from tying the score.
After Shepler was thrown out at home on a groundball to first, Cyphers stole home when Carter Gomillion wandered off first base, drawing a throw from the California catcher. Cyphers broke for home and slid under the tag to tie it 3-3.
Louis Lappe untied it with a two-run homer in the fifth inning. But the score was briefly tied at 3 again when umpires ruled one of the runners didn't touch home plate after Nolensville appealed. That would have ended the inning. But that call was overturned and the score went back to 5-3.
After the team returned to the field, Nolensville appealed again, arguing that a runner had missed second base, to no avail.

NOLENSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — This time of year in Nolensville, there's one thing, and one thing only that's on everyone's mind.
"Cheering on the team this year will be fun," said Jessica Adams, a Nolensville resident.
"It’s cool to have something like that to hang your hat on and say, that’s our team," said Dan Turner, from his table at Mill Creek Brewery.
For the last two years in a row, the Nolensville All-Star Baseball team has made it all the way to the Little League World Series. In 2022, the squad came just one game short of playing in the US Championship game.
"It’s wildly impressive. I can’t even imagine at their age, going to the elite status that these boys went to," said Sullivan Buerger, a fan of the team.
So it should come as no surprise this year they're also swinging for the fences — and the history books.
"If we are to make it to Williamsport, no team has ever made it three years in a row. And as manager, I would be the first manager in 76 years to ever do that," said Randy Huth, coach of the Nolensville team.
But to pull this off, Huth knew he needed a game-changer. He knew he found his star as soon as he saw her. For the first time in Nolensville history, they have a little girl power on the team.
"Sometimes like boys will come up to me and say, 'Are you a girl?' I’m like, 'yea, you’re playing against a girl,'" said Stella Weaver, who attends Legacy Middle School.
"When she strikes people out, you got struck out by a girl. It’s fun to tease people," said Huth with a laugh.
But Coach Huth wants to be clear, she's not on the team because she's a girl.
"She’s 5 foot 8. She’s the tallest person on our team, and she’s the fastest person on our team," he said. "When you guys see her on the mound, there are going to be a lot of people taking note."
Cheering her on every ball, strike and out is her dad Matt Weaver.
"It’s fun, as long as she wants to play baseball, we’ll play baseball," he said. "I’m proud of her for a whole bunch of reasons, not just for being a girl on a baseball team."
Stella tells NewsChannel 5 she decided she wanted to play baseball over softball because it just looked more fun.
"When she wanted to play baseball, we signed her up and she was throwing as hard as the boys at the time. And she stuck with it," her dad said.
With any luck, she'll keep sticking it to opposing batters, all the way through the Southeast Regionals. On Thursday, Stella put on a clinic, striking out seven out of 10 batters. They routed Alabama 10-0 after just four innings and the mercy rule was enforced.
They'll have to win out the Southeast Regional to book their ticket to the Little League World Series. That might be Stella's favorite part of all of this — proving to the world she belongs on this team.
"I love doing this, I love just sharing what I can do and what other girls can do," said Stella.
It also proves this team belongs to the proudest hometown in the country.
"Not many kids get the opportunity to do something like this," said Adams.
"You gonna play for Nolensville?" said Buerger, talking to her three-year-old son.
The Nolo Boys and Stella will play their next game Saturday at noon versus Georgia. The championship game for the Southeast Regional is scheduled for Tuesday.

An investigation is underway into the blasting company that caused a large explosion in Nolensville earlier this week.
NOLENSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - An investigation has started into a blasting company that caused a large explosion in Nolensville earlier this week.
Multiple cars and homes were damaged when rocks flew into the air on Monday morning at the Hillside Center construction site.
The company Hammons Drilling and Blasting caused the explosion, fire officials said.
Witnesses, including John English, said it felt like an earthquake. He was outside at the strip mall across the street on his lunch break when the explosion happened.
“I was just like, ‘Wow, that’s crazy!’” English said. “It’s like something went wrong somewhere. Somebody messed up for it to come this way. It has blasted before, but never anything made it across the road.”
He said rocks started to rain down around him as a dust cloud filled the air. Debris bounced off the building and road as people ran for cover under trees and awnings. English was also concerned windows could break when they bowed in from the blast.
“When it went off, to see it coming towards you, it’s kind of surreal,” English said. “I was more worried about the cars coming down the highway never thinking it would make it this far.”
Large chunks of rock still cover the hillside and parking lots around the blast area. The Nolensville fire chief told state investigators that mats designed to control the blast broke and became flying projectiles themselves.
State department opens complaint against company after Nolensville explosion
The state has rules instated to prevent something like this, including a 72-hour blasting notice requirement and limits on the noise and vibrations caused by explosions.
Work has been stopped at the construction site that town officials said was going to be a daycare center as the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance investigates complaints filed against Hammons Drilling and Blasting after the blast.
The Better Business Bureau said they have no record of Hammons Drilling and Blasting. They have opened a business profile page to track complaints submitted against the company.
WSMV4 requested other complaint information filed with the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance against the company for any similar issues. A total of 171 complaints have been submitted over the past five years, including 25 over the past year.
Hammons Drilling and Blasting did not respond to multiple calls and messages for comment.
